Sarah Boisvert
Sarah Boisvert has worked in Digital Fabrication including laser micro machining, 3D Printing and CAD design for over 30 years. She co-founded the commercial division of Potomac Photonics, Inc. which built excimer lasers and laser machine tools for the medical device, biotech and microelectronics industries. After selling Potomac in 1999, Sarah consulted for the Fab Foundation and the MIT Center for Bits and Atoms, supporting the growth of the international Fab Lab network. She founded Fab Lab Hub in 2010 to focus on entrepreneurship and workforce training. She has created Digital Badge programs for the New Collar Workforce as part of the North American Digital Fabrication Alliance based upon her findings in a nationwide research study in the manufacturing industry. Her book, The New Collar Workforce, was published by Photonics Media Press in 2018.
