Corinne Takara is a San Jose Area artist/arts educator who enjoys exploring the intersection of art, biology and technology with teens and communities. She has designed biomaterial workshops for museums, libraries, K-12 classrooms, and as street pop-up events. She is a Microsoft Distinguished Educator, a TEDx speaker and recipient of the 2019 Biodesign Challenge Outstanding Educator Award. Takara is co-founder of BioJam, a camp that engages teens through their own creativity and culture in bioengineering and biomaterial design as pathways for them to share their learning back in their home communities: https://biojamcamp.weebly.com/.
